The 21 year striker has come through the youth system at St Mirren and made 2+25 appearances for them scoring two goals. He also had a four month loan spell at the start of 2006 at Cowdenbeath in which he featured 15 times and scored 9 goals in the Blue Brazil's third division championship winning season. David signed for the Binos at the start last season and made his debut in the 1-1 opening day draw against Partick Thistle when he came on as a sub and scored the Binos only goal. David went on to score 9 goals at the start of last season, but failed to hit the net again that season. Scored his first goal of the season against Arbroath away at the end of August and has formed a great patnership with Martin Grehan since late December.
