IAN CASHMORE

Ex Ayr United striker Ian Cashmore signed for the Binos in the week leading up to the opening game against Ayr United after featuring quite heavily in pre-season for the Binos. Cashmore started out his career in the junior ranks with Irvine Victoria where he scored at least 22 goals in his first season before a season at Troon where he scored at least 15 goals in 2002/03. He then spent two seasons at Kilwinning Rangers scoring at least 52 goals in two seasons before signing for Ayr United at the start of last season. The 23 year old striker featured in over twenty games last for them, mostly from the bench, but he was unable to score any goals. Ian made his debut after coming as a sub against Ayr in the first game of the season and scored his first goal after coming on as a sub against Stranraer in the 3-3 home draw in mid August. Ian has mostly appeared for the Binos as a sub this season due to the fantastic form of Dene Shields and Colin Cramb, but was given his chance at the start of December after Dene Shields was suspended for two league games and he put in fantastic displays in these games and scored two goals in two games. Ian has been in and out of the team due to injury since December.
