John Fraser came to Stirling at the second attempt after he was set to sign for the club 2005 pre-season, but had a change of heart and signed for Stranraer at the last minute. Fraser comes to the Binos having gained experience with Dunfermline, Ross County, Clyde and Stranraer. He made his debut in the 1-0 win over Ayr in the first round of the Bells challenge cup, however, he was sent off after a tackle from behind on one of thier players. He was a fixture in a rock solid midfield last season and became the club captain mid way through the season and scored two goals in the process. John started the season off as an ever present, but an injury in the season saw him lose his place in the team and has seen him struggle to regain a starting place in the team.
