STEWART DEVINE |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Stewart broke into the Bino's first team at the tender age of sixteen in a 1-1 draw away to Stenhousemuir back in January 2001. He seemed to take this in his stride and played most of the following season scoring an impressive 5 goals. After Ray Stewart was sacked, Allan Moore came in with his own ideas and after a disagreement, Devine only made one sub appearance in the whole of season 2002/03. He managed to get back into the team in season 2003/04 and hasn't looked back since. Stewart has been a rock at the left back in and in midfield and has now played well over 150 appearances for the Binos and is now the club's longest serving player. Devine is somewhat of a free kick specialist and scores his fair share of goals each season. Stewart missed spells of last season through injury, but was fully fit at the start of the season when he was played in left midfield. Stewart picked up a groin injury that put him out of the team for a couple of months, but is now fully fit again and has been an ever present in the team since the start of December.
