Andy Gibson

ANDY GIBSON

This pacy right winger first came to the Binos on loan at the start of season 2003/04 from Partick Thistle. He was a big part of the reason Stirling played so well that season and we went on to get promotion from the 3rd division. He returned to Partick who where in the SPL at the time and again struggled to make the starting eleven each week. In season 2004/05 Partick had to face up to life in the 1st division and again Andy was never really in the plans of the Partick management duo. Allan Moore tried to get him back on loan at the start of that season, but without success. Andy made his second debut for us in the 3-1 home win over Forfar at the start of November 2004. He then returned to Partick after a two month loan spell and stayed there till the January transfer window last season. He then moved to third division Stenhousemuir and played nine games, scoring one goal, before an injury in mid March put him out for the rest of the season. Gibson reappeared in a Stirling shirt when he played in the 4-0 win over the Shire at the Recs in the Shire cup and then as a sub against East Kilbride in the EK tourniment. Andy made his third debut for the Binos in the first game of the season. Gibson was released by the club at the end of August as he wanted to take a break away from football.
