Stirling 0 v 3 Arbroath
27/12/04

A gutless performance from the Binos gave the Red Litchies all 3 points today. Stirling played James Allan up front and Chris Scotland back in the centre of defence for Roycroft. Too many players put in very poor performances especially experienced and well paid pros such as McNally, Galloway, Gibson and McLean. Stirling are now in free-fall and with teams with games in hands, the bottom half of the league is where we're heading. More performances like that today and we'll be back at Cliftonhill, etc.

Gethins and Gibson to leave
24/12/04

According to reports in the local press, both Connor Gethins and Andy Gibson will return back to there respective clubs. Connor (pictured left) came on loan to us at the start of the season from Ross County. The former U19 Irish international was used mostly as a sub, but still managed to get 3 goals (2 from the spot). Connor is a very genuine person and one of the first to come up to the Sponsored lounge to thank us for sponsoring the game. We wish him all the best in his future career and hope he can score a load of goals for County (except against us of course). Andy Gibson rejoined the Binos for a second loan spell from Partick Thistle at the start of November. Gibby seemed to be out of favour with Thistle managers Whyte and Gibson, but with Lambie now there new manager, Gibby has been asked to return to Firhill to fight for his place under the new manager. Again, we hope that Andy goes onto to have a successful career and wish him all the best for the future.

Ayr United 3 v 2 Stirling
18/12/04

Stirling travelled down to the seaside town of Ayr with the same squad as last week, except Andy Gibson came in for Paul Hay on the right. There wasn't much Christmas cheer for the Binos faithful as Stirling went down down 3-2 to there opponents. Goals by Trigger and O'Brie where not enough to beat Ayr who had ex-Stirling Albion legend,Tommy Tait, although this game was certainly an improvement on the previous week. Match report below.

Kaisayr 6 v 2 Athletic Bilbino
18/12/04

The Stirling Albion supporters team(Athletic Bilbino) played there first IFA league game today and where soundly beaten by Ayr's (Kaisayr). Goals from Michael McPake and Mick McGregor where small consolation as Bilbino struggled to cope with Kaisayr's strengthen and height. Kaisayr have been together for over 5 years and train once a week and this showed as they where very well organised. Many thanks to the Kaisayr players and supporters for making this a great game and showing great hospitality. There match report is available from the link below. The next game is at home on the 9th January.

Half Season Tickets
16/12/04

Season tickets are now back on sale at Forthbank in time for half way point in the season and would make a great present for any Bino. This would obviously give the club more money and therefore would help the club get additional funds for the transfer window. The prices for these are set at £70-00 for adults and £45-00 for
Juvenile/Senior Citizen. To purchase them, please phone Marlyn at the stadium on 01786-450399 or e-mail stirlingalbion.footballclub@virgin.net.

James Allan Update
13/12/04

With Partick Thistle interested in taking Allan to Maryhill, it seems a second team are now jostling for his signature. Paul Martin was at Queens Park when Allan was there and it seems he is also interested in taking Allan to The Sons. He would join former Stirling player Robert Dunn if he moves there. After running the story on Allan Moore, the manager came out and ruled himself out for the Partick job in the papers today.

Young Reds Update
12/12/04

The Annual Christmas Bowling Night was held on the 7th December at the AMF Bowl. 36 Young Reds enjoyed 2 games of bowling with juice and crisps for refreshments. They were joined from the start of the night by 12 youth players who helped make the night very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the first team players were unable to make it as the manager had arranged a match against Berwick Rangers for the benefit of the fringe players. However, Chris Scotland did make it in time to help with handing out the selection boxes. He was later joined by Allan Moore, Sean Roycroft, Steven Hutchison and Dougie Wilson who were all kept busy signing autographs.
Particular thanks go to the following youth players:-
Paul Donnelly, Chris Brophy, Sean Nisbet, Douglas Pender, John Tully, David Forbes, Nathan Taggart, Michael Conroy, David McLean, Scott Christie, Robert McSkimming and Mark Hughes.
Thanks should also go to the staff at AMF Bowl for their help in organising the event.

Brechin 1 v 0 Stirling
11/12/04

It was Scottish cup business for the Binos today with a tough trip to Brechin who where minus recently sold Chris Templeman. Allan Moore made a few changes from last week, with O'Brien, Gibson and Gethins either benched or left out, with Hay pushing to the right wing, Devine on the left wing and Glancy partnering McLean up front. Overall it was a pretty dull game and the only comfort was that most people only paid half price (due to The Sun promotion) to watch it. At the end of the day Brechin put one of there few chances away and we couldn't take one of ours.

James Allan and Allan Moore linked with Thistle
09/12/04

We can exclusively reveal that James Allan could be on his way to Partick Thistle in the transfer window. After impressing the management team in a recent reserve game, a Partick scout has been in the stand watching Allan when he's played recently. If the Thistle management team stay in charge, then Allan could be on his way for a nominal fee. Also on there target list is manager Allan Moore who could be in charge after Christmas if Whyte and co get the boot. It's said that James Allan would still be a target regardless and that other young players could be on there way with him.

Stirling 1 v 0 Dumbarton
04/12/04

Stirling ground out a victory down at Forthbank yesterday thanks to a Connor Gethins (pictured left) free kick. Overall it was a pretty drab game with both teams creating very little chances, but the Forthbank faithful went away happy knowing there side was now clear in third position. The website had also sponsored this game with 14 forum users attending it. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who attended, the players and board who made the effort to come in and talk to us and also Marlyn the club secretary for arranging everything to make this a wonderful day. Also well done to Sean Roycroft on winning man of the match.

Dumbarton Poster
02/12/04

People often wonder how they can help increase the attendance figures at Forthbank, well again the club are asking for your help to do this. On the link below we have a printable poster on a word document that you could print off and place in your local shops, schools, etc. With your help this could slowly help the club get higher attendances with the added publicity. As you will know, the current team is playing so great football and one that surely deserves a bigger audience. If you haven't been to a game in a while, why not come down to the next home game and witness first hand the good attacking football that Alan Moore is putting on display. If you come every week, why not ask a friend to come down with you or an additional friend to your group. These extra people coming through the gates could make a big difference in terms of how much cash the club will have to strengthen the squad in January and hopefully push us onto a second consecutive promotion.
