| Stirling ground
out a point in a goal less draw with derby rivals Alloa at Recreation
Park tonight in front of a decent Albion support for a mid-week
game. Both Steven Bell and Mark McNally came back into the squad
after serving their suspensions and Stirling Gaffer, Alan Moore,
opted for the 4-5-1 system that has served the Binos so well
this season. John Miller dropped to the bench for Steven Bell
whilst Ross Forsyth remained at centre half with Mark McNally
only making the bench. Stirling moved to within six points of
Peterhead with this point and we still have two games in hand.
This Saturday Stirling take on Ayr United at Somerset Park whilst
Peterhead take on Morton in Peterhead. Time is not on the Binos
hands in the race for a play off spot and Stirling will be looking
to get a good result down there and hope that Peterhead drop
points against second placed Morton. Match report below. |

| Stirling went
into this game knowing that nothing but a win would do if they
where to stay in the race for one of the play off spots. The
Binos delivered the three points in the end thanks to goals
from Paddy Connolly, Douglas Wilson and under 19 striker, Neil
McVicars. Other results went in Stirling's favour as well with
both Peterhead and Partick dropping vital points. It now means
that if Stirling win their mid week game against derby rivals
Alloa, then they will be only four points behind Peterhead and
seven behind partick with two games in hand. Match report below. |

| Stirling's play
off hopes took a dent as they went down 2-0 to play off rivals
Peterhead today. The Binos fielded an almost identical team
as last week except for Ross Forsyth coming in for the injured
Chris Aitken who could only make the bench. Both teams had good
chances, but it was the Blue Toon who capitlised on their's
and in the end got the rewards. Stirling have now fallen nine
points behind Peterhead, but where given good news that Partick
had got beaten at home to Gretna. Although this has made things
more difficult, there is still quite a few games to play till
the end of the season and if the Binos can go on a winning run
and win a few games in a row, especially their games in hand,
there is no reason why they can't make the play-off's at the
end of the season. Match report below. |

| Your City Your Team Statement |
14/03/06 |
Last Saturday was a cold wet day
with little to encourage people to leave the house especially
as there was international rugby on the box. However several
hundred people gave up their warm living room for the afternoon
and made their way to Forthbank to lend their support to their
local team.
Your City, Your Team campaign would like to thank various people
for helping to make our day of action a success including all
the organisations who have backed the campaign working together
to make a difference. I would especially like to thank the Young
Reds who managed to get 50 children to Forthbank for a soccer
sevens tournament despite it being a freezing cold day. It was
great to see that many of them stayed at Forthbank and attended
the game.
It was excellent to see companies of all sizes helping to make
the day a success, including the vtech-smt , the Albion Bar,
Prudential and the Stirling Observer.
Most of all I would like to thank all those who attended the
game especially the many new faces I saw in the stand, and I
hope to see them again soon.
Your City, Your Team attempted to get a 1000 people in the home
stand, which we very nearly achieved. Our main aim though was
to raise the clubs profile in the city and I hope that everyone
agrees we have certainly done that. There is plenty more that
needs to be done to help Stirling Albion become an essential
part of Stirling's community life and I hope that everyone who
backed our campaign will continue to lend support because, Your
City, Your Team isn't over it's really only just begun. |

| The Binos could
only draw with the men from Kirkcaldy in front of a larger than
usual home crowd because of the Your City Your Team project.
The Binos started with the same team that was beaten 5-0 at
home in mid-week to Gretna, with only the injured Robert Dunn
out of the squad with teenage striker John Miller coming in
to replace him on the bench. The Binos got off to a great start,
although they could only muster a point from the game after
O'Brien and Connolly had given the Binos a half time lead. Another
disappointing aspect of the day was the fact that Peterhead
scored with only a few minutes to go to beat Dumbarton and are
now six points in front of the Binos in the race for one of
the play off places. The Binos now take on high flying Gretna
on Tuesday night before making the long journey north next Saturday
in a vital "six" point game against play off rivals
Peterhead. On another note, the website would like to thank
everyone who made the effort to help spread the word and bring
some extra people to boost the home crowd on the YCYT day. The
official attendance in the home end was 837 and although the
YCYT team didn't achieve it's target of 1000 home fans in the
home end, it still added on a good 250 home fans more that would
normally have been there. The fact it was a freezing cold day
and Scotland where doing so well at the rugby which was live
on tv didn't really help as well though. Many thanks to everyone
who attended, especially the match sponsors vtech-smt and hopefully some of you will come back
down again this season and help cheer the Binos on to one of
those elusive play off places. |
