Stirling
1v1 Stranraer |
27/11/04 |
Stirling
Albion drew with league leaders Stranraer today after a entertaining
draw. Stirling kept up there impressive run of undefeated games
against the league leaders. Stirling dominated this game from
start to finish and showed a lot more determination than last
week. Davie Graham scored a peach of a goal for Stranraer
before Paul Hay scored for the Binos for the equalizer. Sean
Roycroft also made an impressive debut at the back.

Donations |
20/11/04 |
The
running costs of the website have increased this year and
between this and buying a new flag for home and away games,
we have almost spent our budget taken in by our sponsors.
This website will always be free to every person regardless
of the costs and the personal cost to the editor, but for
us to keep improving we are trying to get additional funding.
We have therefore installed a donation button at the bottom
of the forum in case any website users wish to donate to the
website. It doesn't matter how much it is as every penny helps
towards making the website stronger and better. It also doesn't
matter if you don't use the forum as it is available by clicking
on the usual link or by clicking on the one below. Also, some
people are a bit apprehensive about making payments over the
internet,so if you would prefer to post a donation, then please
e-mail at james@stirlingalbion.com for details. The only other
option we have is to put pop-up's on the website which we
really don't want to do. Also,if any business's are still
interested in sponsorship,we have a limited amount of reduced
sponsorship available till 31st July.

20/11/04 |
People
often wonder how they can help increase the attendance figures
at Forthbank, well again the club are asking for your help
to do this. On the link below we have a printable poster on
a word document that you could print off and place in your
local shops, schools, etc. With your help this could slowly
help the club get higher attendances with the added publicity.
As you will know, the current team is playing so great football
and one that surely deserves a bigger audience. If you haven't
been to a game in a while, why not come down to the next home
game and witness first hand the good attacking football that
Alan Moore is putting on display. If you come every week,
why not ask a friend to come down with you or an additional
friend to your group. These extra people coming through the
gates could make a big difference in terms of how much cash
the club will have to strengthen the squad in January and
hopefully push us onto a second consecutive promotion.

Stirling
0 v 1 Berwick |
20/11/04 |
This
game was brought forward from the 3rd January and how Allan
Moore wished he never bothered. Stirling started the game
with a make-shift defence after Rowe, McNally and Devine missing
the game through injury/suspension. In came Hutchison to the
centre of defence and Paul Hay slotted into the back left
position. Galloway was also dropped altogether and Ferguson
was given his first start in a while only to see him limp
midway through the first half with what looked like an groin
injury. A spirited Berwick side grabbed the lead after slack
defending in the first half and the Binos missed several great
chances to equalize. Berwick tightened up at the back in the
second half and did enough to send there small band of supporters
away happy on this freezing cold day. Match report to follow.

Physio
set to move |
19/11/04 |
The
Stirling Albion physio, Michael McLaughlin will be in the
dug out for the last time tomorrow. Big spending Gretna have
offered him a full time contract and extra perks to take over
the physio's position at Raydale Park. This has now left the
Binos in the lurch and may now struggle to have someone fill
that position in time for the Stranraer home game. Michael
only became Stirling's physio when George Cameron decided
to call it a day last season, however, the lure of being a
full time physio was to tempting for him.

17/11/04 |
The
website has now been set up for a year and things are looking
pretty good. The hits to the website and the amount of forum
members we have, is far more than we ever imagined. We are
sitting with about 56,000+ UNIQUE hits to the website in that
time and a forum with over 600 members and 31,000 posts. We
are hoping in the next year we will be able to get the website
more established and get more recognized through advertising,
ect. I would just like to say thanks to Baz for helping me
set the website up and for his hard work he put into designing
it.
Also many thanks to all who help with the website -Stewarty
Mac, Richard Hendry, Scott Johnstone, Kevin and Hayley, Graham
Hamilton, McGregor, Colin Hamilton for his cartoon
and especially Ian Jones for going out
his way each week and bringing us some fantastic match reports.
Hopefully, I haven't missed anyone out from that list, but
if I have, many thanks for all your help. Also, many thanks
to our sponsors for helping financially and hope our members
continue to support them. Last of all and most important of
all, many thanks to the website/forum visitors for taking
the time and visiting the website/forum.

13/11/04 |
Stirling
where beaten 3-0 at Cappielow today by a spirited Morton side.
The Binos had started the game with the same team that had
saw of Forfar the week before. Although the Binos didn't play
as badly as the score line suggests, the Ton where just more
hungrier for the points. Match report now available.

Stirling
3 v 1 Forfar |
06/11/04 |
Stirling
returned to there early season form to beat the Loons 3v1
at Forthbank today. Stirling started the game with Allan in
for O'Brien and newly signed Andy Gibson on the bench. Scorers
on the day was man of the match Pay Hay, Scott McLean and
a great header by George Rowe. Stirling totally dominated
the game and could have won by more and with Stranraer suffering
a heavy defeat by Brechin , it means the Binos are only 4
points off top place.

Andy
Gibson set for return |
05/11/04 |
According
to the Partick Thistle website and other sources, last season's
on loan winger, Andy Gibson is set to return to the Binos.
Gibson will be coming to us on loan until the end of the year
and this will be a big boost to the Binos. Gibson was inspirational
last season and some of the same again would go down down
nicely. Gibson has been in and out of the Partick team since
his return to them and so it would make sense for both clubs
to benefit from a loan deal. It is hoped that Gibson will
be able to make his second debut for the Binos tomorrow at
home to Forfar.
