No Return For Shields
29/11/06

On loan Gretna striker looks set to return to Raydale Park after his loan spell ends at the end of December this year. Alan Moore said in the local paper that there is a rule he didn't reliase that Scottish football rules do not permit players over the age of 21 to be loaned for longer than one transfer window to the next. Shields still has 18 months left on this contract and it looks doubtful that the Binos will have the sort of money to bring him to Forthbank for at least the remainder of the season. Moore said that if this is the case, then he will be looking to bring another striker in on loan till the end of the season in the next transfer window. On another note, Colin Cramb is likely to sign till the end of the season again once the player sits down with his agent and the chairman to thrash out a deal.

Shire Game Cancelled
17/11/06

The scheduled first round Scottish cup game for East Stirling v Stirling for tomorrow has been called off due to a waterlogged park. This game will now take place on Saturday 25th November with next week's league game against Forfar Athletic now being called off and that will be re- scheduled for a mid week trip. After the last few days of constant rain, the East Stirling pitch couldn't handle the amount of rain and it was decided to call the tie off a day early as there was no way the pitch would have been playable tomorrow. A large crowd was due from the Binos support, but it is very likely that the same numbers will be in attendance next week so get along a bit earlier as the official capacity of the ground is around the 800 mark.

Stirling 2v1 Morton
11/11/06

The Binos kept their fantastic run going after seeing off league leaders Morton today at Forthbank to extend their unbeaten run to 13 games without defeat and keep them as the most inform team in Britian. Stirling lined up with with the exact same team as last week and it proved the right decision by the Binos gaffer. After a very even first half, the Binos went into the lead after Shields bundled the ball over the line. Nathan Taggart was a thorn in the Morton side the whole game and he poached the Binos second goal and sent the large home support ecstatic. Morton did manage to pull one back, but Stirling defended well, even when they went down to 10 men after Shields was sent off for a second yellow card. Next up is a break from league business and a chance to renew old friendships when the Binos take on East Stirling away in the Scottish cup in which a large away support is expected. Stirling 5v0 Alloa Athletic
04/11/06

As I wake up with a blissful hangover I can only apologies for the lateness of the match report, but I am sure most Albion fans might find themselves in the same predicament as myself this morning! Stirling put in yet another fantastic display this season against our local rivals to destroy them yesterday and give Albion fans bragging rights over their Alloa work colleagues for many months to come. The Binos lined up with the same team that beat Raith away last week except that Dene Shields returned to the starting line up in place of Ian Cashmore who started on the bench. The Binos went in at half time 4-0 up as Aitken, Taggart ( getting his first senior goal) Tomana and Bell put the Albion fans into football heaven and the Alloa fans heading to the exits carrying there proud flag. Stirling only scored one more through Dene Shields, but it could have been more had the stone wall penalty claim had have been given. The Binos now stay only six points behind league leaders Morton as the Binos play them at home next week in their biggest game of the season. Match report below.
