The Binos went into this game trailing league leaders Brechin City by 11 points and keen on trying to close the ever growing gap between themselves and the top four teams. Stirling lined up with Myles Hogarth in goals. The usual back four of Andy Graham, Andy Lawrie, Ross Forsyth and David Lowing formed the defence. In the middle John O'Neill went back to the middle alongside Craig Molloy with Mark Docherty on the left wing and Nathan Taggart on the right wing. Liam Corr moved up front to partner David McKenna. On the bench was Scott Christie, Stewart Devine (returning from injury), Paul Murphy, Martin Grehan and Ian Harty. The high winds and rain took it's toll on the first half as both teams served up a dreadful first half. Former Stirling captain, Chris Aitken scored with both teams only shot of the first half when he was given time to chest and volley the ball from 6 yards out. The Binos seemed more determined in the second half and pounded the Honest Men's goal. Stirling eventually equalised from John O'Neill after a fantastic volley from 20 yards out gave the small traveling support something to cheer about. Ayr were reduced to ten men when Stevenson received a second yellow with what looked like dissent to the linesman. Grindley in the Ayr goal pulled off several point blank saves most notably from Grehan and Corr and Ayr somehow escaped with a point from the match. Despite their efforts the Binos still find themselves 13 points from league leaders Brechin and more importantly six points from fourth placed East Fife. The Binos next take on Stranraer at home and three points are a must if the Binos don't want to get caught up in the relegation battle this season!

After a week's break due to International football, the Binos took on league leaders Brechin City at Forthbank today to try and extend their unbeaten run in the league. Stirling lined up with Myles Hogarth in goals. The usual back four of Andy Graham, Andy Lawrie, Ross Forsyth and David Lowing. In the middle was, Mark Docherty and Craig Molloy with Martin Grehan on the left wing and Nathan Taggart on the right wing. Up front John O'Neill got the nod to partner Ian Harty instead of his usual centre midfield position. On the bench was Scott Christie, Paul Murphy, Liam Corr, David McKenna and Chris Hamilton. The Binos found themselves 1-0 down in one of the worst first half's ever seen under current Binos boss Alan Moore. Brechin got an early second half goal, but things got a bit better a few minutes later when Martin Grehan pulled one back, but the Binos didn't have enough to get anything from the game. Stirling now take on Ayr United next week in which three points are vital if they are to try and win a play off spot this season. The supporters bus will leave at 11:55am at the Islamic Centre and 12 noon at the Anchor Inn, St Ninians- cost is £10/6. Match report below.

The Binos went into this game with two changes from the team last week with Chris Hamilton coming in for the injured John O'Neill and Martin Grehan starting up front instead of David McKenna. So the team was Myles Hogarth in goals; the usual back four of Andy Graham, Andy Lawrie, Ross Forsyth and David Lowing. In the middle saw Nathan Taggart moving to left wing, Mark Docherty moving into the centre to partner Craig Molloy and Chris Hamilton making his first start on the right wing. Up front Martin Grehan got the nod to partner Ian Harty again. On the bench was Scott Christie, Paul Murphy, Liam Corr, David McKenna and Steven Waddell. In the first half the Binos could have been two or three nil up after totally dominating the first half, but they had to settle for 1-0 after an Ian Harty strike. In the second half, the Binos let the points slip when a Queens Park header equalised with five minutes to go. The Binos next take on league leaders Brechin City at Forthbank on the 18th October after the international break. There will be no match report for this game, however, normal service will resume for the Brechin City home game.
