Berwick
0 v 1 Stirling |
30/10/04 |
Stirling
came away from Berwick with 3 points mainly due to a controversial
penalty that Trigger slotted away. Both teams tried there
best on a heavy and slippy pitch and eventually the Binos
came out on top. The Binos lined up with several changes from
last week. Out went the suspended Mark McNally and Nugent
moved into the centre of defence with Neville at right back.
Rowe slotted into Scotland's central position to complete
the new look defence. Both McDonald and Hay regained there
starting slots, with Ferguson and Gethins relegated to the
bench. This was far from an exciting game, but in the end
the Binos returned to Stirling with 3 precious points. Match
report to follow.

In
the link below, there is a word document containing a poster
of the next home game against Forfar. You can help the club
by printing off a couple of them and putting them in your
local shops, post office, school, etc. This won't take that long
to do and you could be helping the club to get extra people
into the game. We need as many people to do this as possible,
to spread the word of the club into the local community. Many
thanks to all those who participate.

2 v 1 Stirling |
24/10/04 |
Stirling
lost to a much improved Arbroath side by 2 goals to one yesterday.
Many fans where hoping for a improved performance after last
weeks hammering, but most came away disappointed after getting
out played by the Red Litchies. Scott McLean got back on the
scoring trail, but it wasn't enough for the Binos. Arbroath
easily could have won this game by a lot more if it wasn't
for the heroics of Stirling keeper Myles Hogarth. Mark McNally
was sent off for the Binos, but even this wouldn't have changed
the outcome. Match report below.

Stirling
retain Stirlingshire Cup |
24/10/04 |
Stirling
retained the Stirlingshire cup by beating local rivals Falkirk
on penalties. Both teams fielded a mixture of fringe and youth
players and the full time score ended 3-3 with a Gethins double
and Stewart Devine wonder goal that took it to penalties.
Sean Roycroft was the unlikely hero when he slotted home the
vital penalty. The Stirling faithful came away happy, as any
win over Falkirk is always sweet. Match report below.

24/10/04 |
| Stirling
ended there un-beaten run to the season by getting hammered
at home to a strong Brechin side. The Stirling faithful expected
to get beat soon, but many where surprised at the margin of
defeat. Ex-Bino Chris Templeman was the thorn in Stirling's
side by getting four of the goals and David O'Brien got Stirling's
consolation goal in this heavy defeat. Match report available

Young Reds Important Update |
04/10/04 |
| A
letter will be going out this week advising all those who have
enrolled that, as previously decided, there will be no Soccer
Sevens on 12th October due to school holidays. In addition, there
will be no Soccer Sevens on 19th October due to the club's participation
in the Stirlingshire Cup Final. It would appear that some of
the youth players will be playing which would mean less coaches
for the Soccer Sevens. To avoid any problems, it is easier to
cancel. An extra week will be added to the next block, if possible. |
