| Did
you know that there is less than 60 days till Christmas? As
you may or may not know, there is a fantastic range of stock
available in the club shop and it's available on most week days
(it's advisable to pre-phone the club secretary to say your
coming down) and when the Binos are home on a Saturday. The
Binos have had a stall available outside (despite the terrible
weather) next to the club shop entrance in recent weeks, so
why not take a moment to check out all the latest merchandise
that is now available in time for Christmas at the next home
game. More stock was added on Saturday (ie.sweatshirts, adults
shorts, etc) and is now available to buy, but hurry to avoid
disappointment, as it will probably sell out fast and many a
Bino would be disappointed if they woke up on Christmas morning
any they hadn't got a piece of Stirling merchandise for Christmas.
The Binos are also able to post merchandise out to people all
over the world, all you have to do is contact the club secretary
on 01786- 450399 or e-mail her by clicking HERE. |

1v0 Raith Rovers |
29/10/05 |
| Stirling continued
their recent return to form today with a 1-0 victory over Raith
who where sitting fourth in the table before the game. Stirling
opted to stay with the 4-5-1 formation that has given them success
over the last few games and the 16 man squad remained the same
as well. The unlikely hero for the Binos today was Paul Nugent
who headed the Binos in front just before the half time whistle.
The Binos went on to dominate the second half and despite missing
a few good chances, they took away those all important three
points to move within one point of next week's opponents Alloa.

| The Binos ended
their winless streak tonight with a well deserved victory over
The Ton at Cappielow and also ended a spell of winless games
against the Cappielow side that stretched back to December 1997.
The Binos opted to stay with the same team as Saturday with
only Taggart making way for Boyack on the bench and the 4-5-1
formation seemed to work well with the Binos having by far the
better chances. Stewart Devine missed a penalty half way through
the first half, but goals from top scorer Connolly and Forsyth
saw the Binos take all three points and double their points
tally for the season. The Binos will be hoping that this win
kick starts their season and help them on their way out of the
relegation spot and up the table. Match report below. |

Albion Supporters Trust |

| Stirling Albion
Supporters Trust have sent out membership renewal form's last
month to all it's members and previous members in a bid to get
numbers up. If you haven't received a renewal form, then please
e-mail james@stirlingalbion.com and we will post one out to you asap. The emphasis this year
is to make the people of Stirling more aware of the trust, gain
new members and to help the club as much as we can indirectly.
Over the last few years the trust has done a lot of work that
the people of Stirling may have not reliased and it's hoped
that the efforts of this years committee will have more press
coverage. So far this season we have been editing and selling
the official club programme, got the council to re-route a bus
service to Forthbank on a Saturday (available from stance 15
at the bus station, every 15 minutes from 11am to 6pm and costs
only 50p return) and have been putting up posters in all the
local areas advertising games. This is only the tip of the iceberg
and a lot more will be done over the next few weeks so keep
an eye out here and in local press. We are therefore appealing
to anyone out there who cares for SAFC to join the trust in
a bid to eventually be recognised by the club. It only costs
£10 per adult per annum to join and £5 per under
16 year per annum to join. Please take a second to look at the
supporters trust website (link is available below or by clicking
on the supporters trust badge below on the left) to see exactly
what it is the trust are trying to achieve. For example, did
you know that Stirling Albion was more than £1.3 million
pounds in debt? We want to help the club get rid of this, but
we need your help to do this. There is still a limited amount
of places available on the trust committee and all members can
come along to the meetings to ask questions or give us advice.
We need you to stand up and be counted and help take the club
forward. We are therefore appealing to all the clubs fans to
join together and help the club out of it's current predicament.
To become a member, simply e-mail james@stirlingalbion.com for further details or approach one of the trust committee at
one of the games. A printable form is available below
and it should be sent back to James Smith,50 Main Street, Cowie,
Stirling. FK7-7BN. |

1v2 Partick Thistle |
22/10/05 |
| Stirling put
in a spirited display in front of the biggest crowd at Forthbank
this season. Stirling went with the same formation that did
them well in the Shire cup win on Tuesday night and the only
changes from that game saw the return of Myles Hogarth in goals
and Paddy Connolly up front instead of Chris Hay. Steven Bell
scored his first senior goal and equalised for the Binos, but
slack defending seen them again come out with nothing from the
game despite playing well. |

Stirling 0v3 Stirling |
18/10/05 |
| Stirling retained
the Stirlingshire cup for a third successive time with a comfortable
3-0 win over East Stirling on their own back yard. Both teams
fielded full strength squads with Stirling opting for a 4-5-1
formation. The Binos goalkeeper for the night was Scott Christie,
whilst the defence was made up of Devine, Graham, McNally and
Nugent and the midfield had Wilson, Fraser, Bell, Forsyth and
O'Brien and our lone striker for the evening was Chris Hay. On
the bench saw places for Paul Hay (used), Paddy Connolly (used),
under 19's duo Nathan Taggart (used) and Andy Bell (unused),
whilst our sub keeper for the night was Giacomi (unused). East
Stirling had an early chance to take the lead, but saw Christie
in fine form. Stirling's scorers on the night where Chris Hay,
David O'Brien and Steven Bell although Christie pulled off three
excellent saves over the game. Stewart Devine walked away with
the sponsors man of the match after a fine display at left back.
There is no doubting that there is a gulf between the third
and the second division after the Binos have easily seen off
Berwick, Stenhousemuir and now East Stirling over the season
in different cup competitions, however, a win is a win and the
Binos will be looking to do the same against high flying Partick
at home on Saturday. |

draw goes easy on Binos |
17/10/05 |
| Stirling have
been drawn at home to third division Elgin City in the first
round of the Scottish cup. Elgin where beaten 2-0 away from
home to Arbroath on Saturday and they are struggling in the
league with only seven points from ten games that see them 7th
in the table. They haven't had much luck in the two cup competitions
so far either with Raith (Challenge cup) and Berwick (League
cup) putting them out in the first rounds. The man to watch
out for seems to be ex-Peterhead striker Martin Johnston who
is currently top scorer with four goals in ten games. The winner
of this round will get a home tie in the second round against Inverurie Locos of the Highland league who won 5-0 away to Rothes on Saturday.
Inverurie Locos are currently sitting third in the highland
league whilst top scorer for the Highland league outfit this
season is Stuart McKay. First round of the cup will take place
on Saturday 19th November and if the Binos are lucky enough
to get past Elgin, then the second round is scheduled for Saturday
10th December. |

3v0 Stirling |
15/10/05 |
| Stirling slumped
to yet another defeat today giving them a grand total of three
points from ten league games. The Binos went into this game
having stopped the rot with two points from the previous two
games against Ayr and Alloa. After only one change from the
previous starting eleven, Chris Hay in for Robert Dunn, the
Binos started the game pretty brightly. In fact, Stirling dominated
the first half and had endless chances to score, but as before,
the Binos went into half time 2-0 down thanks to a mixture of
bad defending and bad goal keeping. Forfar scored again early
in the second half and put the game out of range for the Binos.
Stirling have still to win a game this season and have slumped
to seven defeats in the first ten league games. With games against
high flying Partick, Morton, Raith and bogey team Alloa coming
up in the next four games, things are looking pretty bleak for
the Binos. |

| Stirling dominated
this game for almost 85 minutes, but in the end they nearly
threw away a well earned point when they had to clear the ball
off the line twice in the last few minutes. Stirling went into
this game having seven players out injured. In came Steven Bell
and trialist Sean McLare in replace of Mark McNally and Steven
Boyack from the previous game against Ayr United. The binos
are still bottom of the league, but things are looking better
after drawing their last two home games. Next up is Forfar away
and the Binos will be looking to get their first win of the
season at Station Park. |

has been running out of stock all season, however, the club
is pleased to announce that more stock will be in the club shop

a couple of minutes before tonight's game against Alloa to go
in and have a look at what the shop has to offer. Christmas
is getting closer and closer and a piece of Stirling merchandise
is what all real Binos want as a gift. |

cup and Young Reds update |

After disposing
of Stenhousemuir 4-1 and Alloa 2-1, the Binos have now reached
the final of the Stirlingshire cup final and will be looking
to retain the cup for a third consecutive time. The Bino's
will take on East Stirling on Tuesday 18th October at East
Stirling's home ground (Firs Park). It's thought that East
Stirling will more than likely field a strong team and the
Binos will have to be at their best to retain the cup. On
other news, the Young Reds soccer sevens that take's place
every Tuesday night will be cancelled for the next three weeks.
It will resume back on Tuesday 1st November. |

3v3 Ayr United |
01/10/05 |
| Stirling halted
the disastrous start to the season with a well taken point at
home to the league shock troops, Ayr United. Stirling went into
the this game having had their worst run of defeats since the
early eighties and knowing that they had already beat Ayr at
Somerset Park earlier in the season in the challenge cup. Stirling
didn't make it easy for themselves though, as Ayr raced into
an early two goal lead. Goals from Paddy Connelly and Paul Hay
gave the Binos a boost going in at half time. Jerome Varelle
completed his hatrick for Ayr early in the second half, however,
Robert Dunn went up the field and scored the equaliser on his
first game back since being out injured. The game finished with
a share of the points, but it was Stirling who could have taken
all three if Devine had scored when one on one with former Albion
legend Mark McGeown. Hopefully this point will end the rot that
has set in down Forthbank way and three points will be obtained
against local rivals Alloa on Friday night. |
