The Binos went into this game against high flying Peterhead with the same team as the previous week. In goals was Myles Hogarth; with a firmilar back four of Andy Graham, Andy Lawrie, Ross Forsyth and David Lowing. In the middle saw Mark Docherty fill in the left wing position, whilst new signing Craig Molloy partnered John O'Neill in the middle with Nathan Taggart out wide. Up front David McKenna got the nod to partner Ian Harty again. On the bench was Scott Christie, Paul Murphy, Liam Corr, Martin Grehan (just back from injury) and Chris Hamilton. The Binos had two goals disallowed and were unlucky not to take all three points. In the end the Binos had to settle for a draw. Match report below.

Stirling Albion lined up for this vital second division game with almost the same team that had won them their two previous league games. In goals was Myles Hogarth; with a firmilar back four of Andy Graham, Andy Lawrie, Ross Forsyth and David Lowing. In the middle saw Mark Docherty fill in the left wing position for the injured Martin Grehan, whilst new signing Craig Molloy partnered John O'Neill in the middle with Nathan Taggart out wide. Up front David McKenna got the nod to partner Ian Harty again. On the bench was Scott Christie, Paul Murphy, Liam Corr, Steven Waddell and Chris Hamilton. Before the game the Binos would have settled for a point away to Raith as gaining anything from Starks Park will be a bonus this season, however, the way the game ended sent the players and fans away feeling like it was a defeat. Nathan Taggart had got his second goal of the season to give the Binos a first half lead and the points looked wrapped up when sub Liam Corr was fouled in the box with only a few minutes to go. Ian Harty's penalty hit the post and Raith went up the field and were awarded a soft penalty in which Ross Forsyth was deemed to have held the Raith player back. Kevin Smith stepped up and buried the Raith penalty to give Rovers a share of the points. Next up the Binos take on high flying Peterhead at home and then this is followed up with a trip to Hampden to take on Queens Park away the following week. Match report below.

Stirling Albion look likely to re-sign St Mirren midfielder Craig Malloy until at least the end of December. Craig came on loan to the Bino's at the end of February this year and played five times for the Binos in our first division campaign last season until he left at the end of his emergency loan contract in late March. Alan Moore has stated that he was looking to tie up one more midfielder before the next transfer window and the St Mirren midfielder looks likely to make his second Binos debut against Raith this weekend. This will give the Binos squad a boost as both John O'Neill and Liam Corr are struggling with knocks for this weekend and Stewart Devine looks likely to be out for the foreseeable future with a groin injury.

The Binos returned to league business after a week's break thanks to the International fixture last week. Confidence was higher than usual thanks to a first league win in the previous game away to Arbroath. Alan Moore opted for the same team as that game with the obvious exception being Liam Corr coming in for the suspended Mark Docherty. So the Binos lined up with Myles Hogarth in goals; a back four of Andy Graham, Andy Lawrie, Ross Forsyth and David Lowing. In the middle saw striker Martin Grehan taking up left midfield again, with John O'Neill, Liam Corr and Nathan Taggart alongside him. Up front David McKenna got the nod to partner Ian Harty again. On the bench was Scott Christie, Paul Murphy, Sean Roycroft, Steven Waddell and Chris Hamilton. The Binos found themselves 1-0 down early on thanks to a fantastic strike from ex-Stirling player Dougie Wilson. The Binos fought back though and strikes from Andy Graham, Ian Harty and Liam Corr (his first senior goal) saw the Binos 3-1 up. A slack goal just before half time made sure that it was going to be a nervy 45 minutes for the Binos in the second half. Stirling held on for the 3 points despite a lot of Alloa pressure in the second half. The Binos will face a huge test next week when they take on Raith Rovers away from home. The supporters bus will be leaving at 12.50pm at the Islamic Centre (Stirling) and at 12.55pm at the Anchor Bar (Glasgow Road, St Ninians). Cost for the bus will be £8 for adults and £5 for kids/oaps. Spaces are likely to be available for non members, but members will be given priority. There is a limited amount of memberships still available for sale at £5 each- please ask Stef or Jimmy for further details. Check out the "Supporters Club Bus Times"tab for further information.
