Tops arrive at Club Shop |
30/09/04 |
| The
next batch of home tops are available from the club shop. All
sizes are available, which includes kids sizes as well. There
was a list of people who put there names down when they arrived
so no doubt they sell pretty fast again. Get down to the club
shop early on Saturday to claim yours and help the club raise
that extra cash as well. The ADULT away tops are now sold out
and won't be available for a another 4 weeks, however, some kids
tops are still available. I'm not sure if the club is taking
a list of names for these, but why not ask on Saturday. The
training tops that the players use pre-match are also on sale
although they are limited in numbers. I purchased mine yesterday
and have to say they are a bargain at only £17 for adults
and £14-50 for kids (kids sizes start at age 9-10 I think).
The club shop also stocks a wide range of other merchandise,
so pop in on match day and have a look. www.stirlingalbion.com
is asking all fans from all areas to support the club by buying
merchandise to give the club much needed extra revenue. All
merchandise IS available by post, just e-mail the secretary
at stirlingalbion.footballclub@virgin.net for further details. |

Club
or Country?? |
22/09/04 |
| Stirling
boss, Allan Moore is trying to get December's fixture with Arbroath
brought forward to the same date as the Scotland versus Norway
game on the 9th October. Stirling have a congested fixture list
at Christmas and Allan Moore wants to elevate the pressure then
by moving the fixture. This move will probably anger some of
the Stirling faithful as they will now have to choose between
there club and country. Last season Stirling switched the Queens
Park game to the same date as a Scotland game and this angered
some of the loyal Stirling fans. The attendance that day was
below average and Stirlingalbion.com predicts the same if this
were to happen. Stirlingalbion.com will keep you up to date
in the coming weeks on this issue. |

Trigger
and McSwally out! |
22/09/04 |
| Influential
pairing Scott McLean and Mark McNally could be both out for
the next 2 games. McLean is currently Stirling's top scorer
this season with 9 goals, tweaked his hamstring in training
last Thursday and was taken off in the Stranraer game after
only 30 minutes and it looks like rest is what's needed to heal
the injury. Central defender Mark McNally looks also set to
miss the next 2 games as it's believed his bruised foot actually
has a broken bone in it. This will mean that Chris Scotland
will remain in central defence alongside Geordie Rowe until
McNally comes back. |

SAMBA
TAKE SERIE A BY STORM |
19/09/04 |
| A
new look Samba side won 5-1 against there Serie A rivals. This
was there first season in the new division after they got promoted
last season. Last season regulars Micheal McPake, Baz Mac, Rodger
Gardiner, Scott Johnstone and Graham were all missing as they
are now at uni. Allan Murrie (3), Mick McGregor and Micheal
Spowart were the scorers for SAMBA. Both Chris Armstrong and
James Smith restricted there rivals attacking to only one long
pot shot. Our keeper (name unknown at present) also pulled off
a couple of good saves. SAMBA where also awarded the Fair Play
award (pictured left) for all the league last season and many
thanks to the players for achieving this. Hopefully, it'll get
a spot down in the Albion bar (with the owners permission) for
all to view. |

Stranraer
0v0 Stirling |
18/09/04 |
| Stranraer
and Stirling cancelled each other out in this lackluster draw
at Stair Park today. This game was billed as the match of the
day as both teams had got off to a flying start, but it failed
to live up to it. In saying this, the Binos keep there unbeaten
run going and Allan Moore will be the happier manager of the
2.Aussie midfielder Mitchell "Skippy" Prentice came
on in the second half to make his debut. |

Stirling
1v1 Morton |
11/09/04 |
| Stirling
drew 1-1 today with a spirited Morton team. Stewart Devine slotted
into midfield for the injured Craig Ferguson and scored from
outside the box in the first half. Morton were backed by a healthy
away support and they seemed lifted with the sacking of John
McCormack to snatch a point. |

Binos
sign new player |
11/09/04 |
| The
Binos signed Charles Clark from Clyde on Friday, on a one month
contract with the view to extending that if he does well. He
is a product of there youth team and will go straight onto the
bench for today's game against Morton. The Binos have also been
trying to sign a Australian midfielder, but could not get the
paper work through in time for the Morton game. It is expected
that he'll sign in time for next week's match though. |

07/09/04 |
| Allan
Moore has picked up the manager of the month for August after
Stirling have won there first 5 games in a row. Moore can add

hopefully there will be more on the cards later this season. |

draw with AC Miloon |
04/09/04 |
Athletico Bilbino
kept there run of form going with a draw over experienced
AC Miloon. with goals from Alan Murie (2), Mark Spowart and
Neil Pirie. A draw was about right on the day, but somehow
the ref added on 5 minutes of injury time, when there was
no injuries in the second half. AC Miloon equalized in this
time, but all in all it was a good day out.

Turner
Capped for Scotland |
02/09/04 |
Ex-Stirling
Albion keeper Ian Turner was tonight capped for Scotland U21's.
Ian came on as a sub with 15 minutes to go by which time Scotland
were already losing 3-1. Apparently he made one magnificent
save. Ian was at the Binos as a youth, but graduated into
the first team and after only a handful of appearances Everton
put in a bid that the Binos board couldn't turn away. Everyone
at stirlingalbion.com wishes Ian the best and we'll be keeping
an eye on his progress.
