Young Reds 16th January Update

How To Join

This season is the 8th season of the Young Reds. For those of you who are unaware what the Young Reds is, it is the official Junior Supporters Scheme of Stirling Albion Football Club.
It is administered by a voluntary committee, with the full backing of the Management, Players and Directors of Stirling Albion.
The annual membership fee is £5-00 and members receive several benefits . Anybody wishing more details should contact Jacky Farrell, c/o Stirling Albion Football Club.
We are pleased that the majority of members have re-enrolled this year but there are a number who have not returned their forms. If you know of anyone who has not renewed their membership, ask them to contact us. We would be interested to hear if there are any reasons why some members have not re-enrolled.

Birthdays

The following members celebrate their birthdays this month:-

Sean Sneddon 5th January
David Strachan 8th January
Lee Miller 10th January
Kenneth Guthrie 12th January
Dominick Dreczkowski 17th January
Alan McKerracher 19th January
Andrew Graham 22nd January
Scott Boswell 25th January
Neil Robertson 29th January

Soccer Sevens

The next block of Soccer Sevens will start on 25th January at 6-00p.m. The cost is £15-00 and registration forms must be returned by 21st January.
We would emphasise that only members of the Young Reds may participate in the Soccer Sevens.
We would also advise that a register will be taken each week and children should “check in” when they arrive at Forthbank.

Away Trip

The Young Reds will be attending the match against Dumbarton at Strathclyde Homes Stadium on 5th February.
The cost will be £10-00 which will include transport and entry to the match. If any member would like to bring a parent or guardian, a limited number of places will be available. The cost for adults will be £5-00 which will cover transport only.
Registration Forms have been sent out and must be returned by 22nd January as we have to advise Dumbarton the number of children who will be attending.

Ten Pin Bowling

The annual ten pin bowling night was held on 7th December 2004. 36 Young Reds enjoyed 2 games of bowling in the company of members of the youth team. Afterwards each member was presented with a selection box.
We would like to thank the following youth players for coming along and joining in:-
Paul Donnelly, Chris Brophy, Sean Nisbet, Douglas Pender, John Tully, David Forbes, Nathan Taggart, Michael Conroy, David McLean, Scott Christie, Robert McSkimming and Mark Hughes.

Player Sponsorship

This season the Young Reds are sponsoring Martin Glancy. We are pleased Martin playing so well and banging in the goals.

Admission Price

Admission to league matches this season will be £4-00 and not £3-00 as indicated in the renewal letters which have been issued.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Merchandise

This year’s free gift, a torch keyring, is now in the club shop. Members can collect it by taking along their voucher and exchange it for the gift.
The Club Shop stocks a wide variety of Albion goodies and is well worth a visit. The shop was open during the Soccer Sevens and we hope that it will continue to be open when the next block starts in January..
Why not pop along and speak to Fiona who would be willing to listen to any suggestions about merchandise which could be sold in the shop.

Kingsmill Tokens

We have collected 1332 tokens and would advise that we have placed an order for first aid equipment to replenish our current stock. When we started collecting tokens, we had envisaged getting some footballs and bibs. However, we had to purchase new balls and bibs at the start of the Soccer Sevens which means that we no longer require these items. We have decided that first aid equipment would be of practical use.
Again, we would like to thank everyone who contributed tokens.
