How To Join
This season is the 8th season of the Young Reds. For those
of you who are unaware what the Young Reds is, it is the
official Junior Supporters Scheme of Stirling Albion Football
Club.
It is administered by a voluntary committee, with the full
backing of the Management, Players and Directors of Stirling
Albion.
The annual membership fee is £5-00 and members receive
several benefits . Anybody wishing more details should contact
Jacky Farrell, c/o Stirling Albion Football Club.
We are pleased that the majority of members have re-enrolled
this year but there are a number who have not returned their
forms. If you know of anyone who has not renewed their membership,
ask them to contact us. We would be interested to hear if
there are any reasons why some members have not re-enrolled.

Soccer Sevens
The current block of Soccer Sevens started
on 25th January at 6-00p.m. We now have 88 children registered.
However, we would emphasise that only members of the Young
Reds may participate in the Soccer Sevens and participation
in the Soccer Sevens is not an automatic. A separate registration
form must be completed and there is an additional fee to
cover costs.
We would also advise that a register will
be taken each week and children should “check in”
when they arrive at Forthbank.
We are also pleased to report that 16
children indicated that they would like to participate in
the goalkeeping coaching offered by Scott Christie. This
group has been split into 2 groups and will each receive
5 weeks of specialized coaching.
News Letter
Although the end of the season is a few weeks
away, thoughts now turn to voting for the Young Reds Player
of the Year award. A voting form will be included in the
next newsletter which will be sent out to all members ,
probably in March.
Free Entry
The Young Reds will once again be sponsoring
the last league match of the season against Brechin City
on April 26th. All members of the Young Reds will be given
free entry to this match.
A letter will be sent to all members in April enclosing
the ticket which must be produced to obtain free entry.
Last season over 140 members took advantage of free entry
to the Stranraer match and we hope for a similar response
this season.
Young Wasps
We are pleased to learn that Alloa Athletic
have formed a junior supporters club called the Young Wasps.
We were recently approached to organise an event with the
Young Wasps but, unfortunately, we were unable to organise
a Soccer Sevens Festival before the recent league match
due to the Astroturf being unavailable. However, we hope
to organise something for next season.
However, 42 Young Wasps and 10 adults attended the recent
league match and we were pleased to provide them with reduced
admission thanks to the generosity of Stirling Albion Chairman,
Peter McKenzie.
We hope that this will be the start of a long and fruitful
relationship with the Young Wasps.
Player Sponsorship
This season the Young Reds are sponsoring
Martin Glancy.
Admission Prices
Admission to league matches this season will
be £4-00 and not £3-00 as indicated in the renewal
letters which have been issued.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Merchandise
This year’s free gift, a torch keyring,
is now in the club shop. Members can collect it by taking
along their voucher and exchange it for the gift.
